Our goal is to preserve Hmong Bobtails through ethical breeding practices in effort to produce well rounded family companions and guardians.

The journey started in Fall 2023 when our first foundation female was imported to the U.S. from a renown kennel in Vietnam. This led to the start of our passion to preserve, educate, and begin our own breeding program. But my initial love for the breed started years ago when I first learned of them through the internet. I’ve been dedicated since and hope to continue sharing them to the world while promoting responsible breeding and ownership.

At TaYeng Kennel, we follow the Hmong Bobtail Club of America’s code of ethics and agree not to exploit the breed or take shortcuts in breeding. Our dogs are not just breeding machines—they’re our beloved family pets first. All planned breeding’s will be purposeful with careful considerations. As we can’t currently show the breed outside Vietnam, we focus on earning fun sports titles, representing the breed in public, and building bonds.

Ethics We Follow

• Health testing our dogs before becoming potential breeding prospects (2+ years old).

• Breeding with careful planning and purposeful pairing for sound temperament, good health, and conformation.

• Socialization, desensitizing to grooming and handling, crate/house/car training, titling, and teaching basic manners and obedience skills.

• Raised indoors with love as part of our family with outlets and enrichment such as sniff walks, hiking, nosework, and other sports.

• In the case of rehoming, our pups are welcomed back to us anytime instead of owner surrender. We will take back dogs we’ve produce and find suitable placements ourselves so they don’t contribute to overpopulated shelters or rescues.
